period dress for Christmas Ball? -

i'm making a Marie Antoinette style gown for my upcoming Christmas Ball for ballroom dancing. I already know that i'd be the only one wearing something other than a modern dress... should i still wear it? I mean, when i think Christmas Ball with ballroom dancing i think of the balls in that time period...

I'd say go for it!

If you have enough confidence to be different than everyone else than I say go for it. I would love to do something like that.
