Uggs: Like or Dislike?

Well Uggs have been in style for a few years now (actually a couple years longer than I thought they would be ). So what are your opinions? I've heard some people say they're cute, others said they're just warm & comfy, & others say they're absolutely horrible.

For those who don't know what they are:

I've never personally owned a pair because I think they're ugly and too expensive. But my friend owned a pair and I saw how they wore out so quickly. I'd prefer other boots that I won't slip in the snow with and that'll last a long time. Uggs are definitely not worth it in my eyes.

Personally, I've never liked them. I think they're too ugly and expensive. I hate how girls wear them with shorts, too. It looks trashy and stupid, not cute.

Yeah I'm kinda indifferent towards the look, but they seem wayyy too expensive for shoes that are just a trend.

Every year, I go to Wal-Mart and buy the off brand "Ugg" boots. I like them not because they're fashionable, but because they do keep my feet warm, and they ARE comfortable. Only thing that sucks is wearing them when they're really, really wet outside and they get all gross like.

I love them. They're very comfortable and easy to just slip on and go. I think they're really cute too

I can't stand them. I have weak ankles so they'd just hurt my feet. Never had a pair, never will.

I can't stand them. Almost all the girls in my school wears those Uggs and everytime I see them, it makes me sick. The Uggs are also really expensive.

I've never bought a pair and never will. I don't like them, they're so ugly and too expensive. The only shoes I wear on a regular basis are Converse.

Like someone others said, I also just go to Wal-Mart and buy the off brand. Personally I would never buy the real Uggs brand anyways because they use animal products but otherwise I don't mind them. One thing I don't really like though is the "uggs" and sweatpants (granted I NEVER wear sweatpants out anyways and never will) i just think it looks really really frumpy.

I don't mind the look of Uggs, but I would never buy them because of the price. I tend to go for Bear Paw instead. Same look, sturdier shoe, better price.

I buy the off brand ones, cause they're cuter, cheaper, and WARM. But not cause they're popular, because apparently the off brand ones aren't as cool. haha. I really don't care. They're comfy, especially after a ballgame or something.

I love them! But like some others have said i only buy the off brands. i get bear paws...almost the same just way cheaper. they're so comfy and easy to slip on.

I personally like the feel of combat style boots for whatever reason :3 I never really liked the uggs though I suppose they aren't too bad as a style themselves however the price is a little crazy and my friend has a pair of amazing winter boots that look just like them but were WAY cheaper :3

I love my uggs they're so comfy. I would never actually buy a pair though cause the price is ridiculous but my friend gave me her old pair for free when she got new ones for her birthday

My mum is always trying to get me to wear hers, I hate them. They're too bulky and when they get wet it's horrible. I'm a converse kind of person.

...I think they're cute. I have an offbrand that's not made with sheepskin, I don't wear animal products. But I hate it when people wear them with shorts which is VERY common where I live since you can wear shorts all year pretty much.

My friend had a pair of Uggs, and she accidentally got some snow on them, now they're ruined.

I think because of that, and the price, the fact that they are just too damn ugly, and everyone and their neighbor wears them, I will never own a pair of Ugg boots. I might go for Bear Paw though. We'll see.

As comfy as they may be when they are dry, whenever I walk through snow for a while, they get all weird and wet on the inside and then the comfort is gone.

Yeah, I buy the hghstreet brands like New Look. I cant afford real uggs.

I have cheap pairs to keep my feet warm, but apart from that, i dont like them!
When I was at dance college, girls used to wear them just to show off they had a pair and could afford them. They looked trashy in their short shorts and vest tops with uggs on. it's like, are your feet in antartica and you're in hawaii or something???!?! And they looked down upon anyone who had a pair that wasnt branded. i.e me! haha, not like I cared xx

For those who don't like them, it is just the main style or all of the styles in general? There are different sized boots, there are slippers, & other kinds of styles.

For me, it's just how they look.
I prefer to wear heels, black knee high or thigh high boots, etc.

Some girls can pull them off. Not me. Not really my thing, and I'm not so much a fan of them.

I have an off brand pair and I absolutely love them. They're super comfortable, they fit over any pair of pants I decide to wear and soooo easy to slip on and off.

And it helps that no one really likes them and I don't like going with the "fads" and dress how I feel.

I got a real pair from my old neighbors daughter who didn't want hem anymore, and they were in perfect condition. They were super comfy and everyone was wearing them. Though, I noticed after a while the outside of the boot got darker really really quickly and on the inside of the boot the bottoms were coming apart. Either the boots were rigged, or they weren't worth the money that they paid for :P both, probably. And I do admit, they aren't a sight to see, but they are very VERY comfortable and warm in the winter time, and it has a grip on it so you don't slide as much on ice. I just wish they were made a little better

To me, they're just an over priced pair of boots I have tried some on but I don't particularly like the look of them. Meh.

I don't like them, but simply because I don't think they look that great on me. I just look like I'm wearing slippers and I look stupid. When my sister wears hers she looks fine. If they suited me, maybe I'd buy some, but they don't really go with what I consider 'my style'.

I hate them. They just wouldn't suit my style of dress. I don't think they're nice shoes on the whole, but some people can pull it off. I'd much rather wear comfy trainers or my Docs. And what would happen if it rained? I never understood that... it would be like walking through puddles in your slippers...

I absolutely hate them, and for SO many reasons.
I shop cruelty-free and do not wear animal products, plus I just think they're ugly and WAY too expensive. My BearPaws look exactly the same, so whatever.

No I dislike them, and for the price its a rip-off. I have a pair of boots that look like uggs but they are gold-digga ones, and they only cost me £26 where as a pair of uggs is £200 . And the gold-digga ones don't seem to collapse in either. Where as uggs collapse after about 5-6 months, I've had my gold-diggas since just before christmas and they still are not collasping in /collapsing at the sides. I hate uggs. And everyone seems to have a pair.
