Coupons!!! -
September 28th 2010, 03:14 AM
Hey everyone! Does anyone here clip coupons or stockpile?
Just wondering if you had any tips! I just started doing this for my family, more coupon clipping than stockpiling. Today I went to Target twice (because I forgot stuff) and I spent 3.17 and saved 6.35 and the second time I spent 8.25 and saved 7.35. (USD). It was just for a few odds and ends that we had run out of. There is always hope. PM me anytime. SH Free since 10.20.08 |

I don't actually know what you mean by 'clipping' or 'stockpiling'....can someone explain?!
I'm all for saving money though.
I even heard your mamma wanted some of this...

I don't know how coupons work over there to be honest, but in the Sunday paper in the U.S. there are a few booklets of coupons that you can clip/cut out. They have them for grocery needs, toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc.
Stockpiling is getting multiple coupons (so buying multiple Sunday papers) and buying multiple of the same item when it comes on sale. You can get things for next to nothing this way. Some people stockpile to the point that it's kinda gross because everything must be stale, but others will stockpile 4-5 of the items they use a lot of. http://www.thecuttinedge.org/stockpile/stock1.jpg There's a pic of someone's stockpile. I hope that made sense! There is always hope. PM me anytime. SH Free since 10.20.08 |

Ahh, I understand now. Thanks for explaining. My Gran is a major stockpiler xD I'll have to try and take a photo of her pantry the next time I go down. It's crazy. We always say if anything ever happens we'll move in with her because there'll be enough food to last through pretty much anything!

Never tried stockpiling but always use coupons.
