Hair thinning? - September 24th 2009, 05:12 PM

Has anyone dealt with hair thinning before? I'm losing a lot of hair; for reasons unknown. Everytime i wash it - huge clumps come out. It's like a nightmare to comb and brush now. It's really thin and straggly and long. I'm going to get it cut sometime in October, i was just wondering what sort of style i can get to make it look less thin and more volumised, or if there are any foods/vitamins that help hair look thicker and in general - greater condition.

Thanks in advance.

Iron and Zinc are supposed to help hair growth and there are also shampoos out there that are supposed to keep hair thick. I'm not sure what styles you can get to make it look thicker as I always want styles to thin my hair out.

If it's coming out in clumps though it might be an idea to see a specialist about this to see if it's a medical problem.

Thankyou. I should've known it was somewhere along the lines of lack of iron/zinc. I've suffered with anaemia in the past and seem to be possessing the symptoms again, or rather - they are possessing me
