Coontails: Still In Style? - May 23rd 2010, 12:36 AM

There are a lot of names for coontails (raccoontails, stripes, skunktails, etc.). If you don't know what coontails are here is an example:
They are pretty much just stripes in your hair. They can be either light, dark, or electric colors.

So back in 2006 when scene kind of came back in style (You can correct me if there was a different time. This is when I just started seeing more and more scene kids.) they began putting these stripes in their hair. I really really like them and was going to do coontails with my black and blond hair I'm getting Friday but I dunno....

I read this article that the coontail trend was fading out. Is that true?

(I'm not trying to sound rude, hate on scene people, or offend.)
Thanks for helping me out!

Sorry, I'm not sure. But question is, why does it matter? I mean, if you like them, I say go for it, no matter if its popular or not.

If you like them then go for it, don't worry about what other people think, I personally own a couple of "coontails".

If you like them, don't worry about about what anyone else says. You don't have to follow the trends. Have your hair how you like it.

^ This.
If you like the look, then don't let the fact it may not be the 'in' style right now put you off getting it. It's your hair, after all.

You might want to consider the extensions that just clip in to the top of your hair, they still sell them in places and it's not permanent. If you like it, then go for it, it doesn't matter if they're still popular or not.

They're not "in" but go for it if you like them!

I agree. You should go for it if you like them. It shouldn't matter what's 'in' or what people think. As long as you're happy with them.
