Tomboys with short hair, too masculine? - June 27th 2010, 08:28 AM

Well personally I love having short hair that I can spike, much easier to care for and it doesn't take a crap load of hairspray to hold a style with short hair, now with that being said im a tomboy, and i shop all in the women's section all except hoodies, Im not a girl with an hour glass shape either so my clothes dont look very femine...my usual is black jeans, black shirts or tanks tops orf black white or grey and a hoodie usually black...I dress pretty dark and im not into alot of girl stuff, i feel the only reason people dont mistake me for a man is my longer hair, tho some guys have long hair as well, so doing what i want is not helpful advice i love short hair and i've been told i can pull it off when i had my hair cut short b4, but i had many people mistake me for a boy which really brings the self esteem down, i dont want to change the way i dress either, i am a musician and i feel my clothes express my musician(casual highshool not overboard) studentness...if i cut my hair short am i still going to seem femine or maybe i should ask HOW to seem or be more feminine like i even tend to use guys body spray it smells soooooo much better than damn flowers and cupcakes all the fricken time!

I have to say I love what you look like in your photo.
Slap on some eyeliner and light lipstick daily and no one will mistake you. I think it would look awesome.
Obviously up to you, if thats your style?

You could try accessories? Like hair clips and bracelets? You don't have to go uber girly with them, but things with little sparkles or bows etc. can look really cool, and can add a slightly feminine touch to things : )

Cullens right, Just a girly necklace could do the trick, or a bracelet.

Yes. It's one thing if you don't wear any makeup. If you make sure you do your makeup nice and feminine, you just look like you are a little rough around the edges. If you don't wear makeup and wear more "boyish" clothing with short hair... You might be mistaken for being very butch.

I like your avatar thought =)

You have quite a feminine face. I don't think it would be too butch if you spiked it up. Its kind of in fashion lately.

Makeup would definitely add a feminine touch to you. Accessories would also be great.
