teasing. - July 6th 2010, 09:16 PM

i know how to tease hair and it goes how i want it, the problem is it never stays longer than maybe thirty minutes and it goes flat again. is there a certain hairspray to use that makes it stay longer or am i going to be stuck with flat, boring hair?

Hey Sarah!

I used to tease my hair all the time and I have found that if you skip washing it for a day, that will make it a lot easier to stay in. Garnier Fructis has lots of great products such as gel or putty that you can put at the roots to help it stay up.

This hairspray also helps a lot.

teasing makes the hair bump up and give it more body. you comb your hair backwards where you want it bumped up at lol

& thanks (: gel always makes my hair look dirty but i'll prolly go buy that hairspray.

Yeah, Hairspray works really good.
And you could also get a teasing comb.
Or generally just a fine toothed comb.

I have heard a real good hairspray to use is Aussie Extra Strength. A friend of mine has teased, poofy hair and that is what she uses and she loves it, says it does wonders.

Old-School Goths are well-known for teasing (back-combing) their hair, and they always used Aqua-Net Hairspray. So maybe follow the ways of old, and get some Aqua-Net.
