I've wanted this haircut for a very long time, but they never do it right.. - October 4th 2010, 09:04 AM

.. as ungrateful and bratty as it sounds.

I've been to the hairdressers three different times now and asked for this, and they haven't cut it anything like it once.
So I take in a picture in of exactly what I want & ask for a 'choppy side fringe, with short choppy layers pushed forward' which is what she told me to ask for, but they always end up doing just like a normal side fringe that swoops over my eye slightly, nothing like I want it. I ask them to razor the layers also, but they never do.
A LOT of other people I know, but don't really talk too, have similiar haircuts but I feel awkward asking them were they got it cut.

So does anyone have hair like this, & know how I'd get about getting it cut like this? thanks xx

ps, I originally had a picture but it won't let me until I increase my post count. I'll post one later.

I would go into some different stylists and ask them how they would do the haircut you want. Also, if it's really important that you get it right why not splurge and go to a more expensive salon? I'm incredibly picky with my hair so either I cut my fringe myself or it's the tony and guy salon because I know that they will do what I want, cause I'm paying them well

Of course if you don't have the money to splurge then do ask your friends where they got it done. Everyone needs a good hair cut and I'm sure they won't mind sharing their stylist.

I'd recommend Toni & Guy as well. The hairdresser I usually use isn't that good so I went there with a picture of what I wanted and they did a pretty good job. It is expensive but I feel it's worth it.

I would look up salons who do special looks like that.

A lot of salons aren't going to understand and be able to give you what you want. Toni and Guy sounds like a great place to go.
