Stupid hair! - October 5th 2010, 07:56 PM

It's just so irritating! It's really long, like down to the middle of my back, which is really nice. But my fringe just does not want to go right! It's meant to be a side swept fringe but it just hangs straight down the middle of my face, no matter what I do. So I'm forced to clip it up which defeats the object of having a fringe!

I think I'm asking for advice, but I might just be ranting! But any advice would be nice, thanks guys!

maybe it's too long? like, if you trimmed it a bit maybe it would cooperate? i don't know. you could always call whoever usually cuts your hair and ask them.

My mum does my hair (shes a hairdresser) and she doesn't know what to do with it. Because she knows that if she cuts it and I don't like it, she'll get an ear full

I think that if it's cut shorter it'll just hang infront of my eyes and it'll drive me mad.

Grr.

you could always use some super strong gel to make it stick in place. although, i highly doubt that's the look you're going for.
have you tried any hair products on it? like trying to use hair spray to get it to stay in place or something like that?

I try a bit of hairspray sometimes, but unless I cake myself in it, it doesn't stay very well. And I'm trying to keep the hair looking natural. Not gelled to my head

Do you dry it immediately after you've washed it to the side and sleep with it clipped tightly into place? Even if it does move slightly after you've slept, you could wet it again and dry it back into place.

I got told you part should be on one side and your fringe should sweep away from your part.

It should be cut with a gradient to make it sweep, if it is cut striaght it won't sweep.

I got told to heat it up and then sweep it over with my fingers and blast it with cold air on the hairdryer to set it.

Re: Stupid hair! - October 6th 2010, 07:06 PM

I was told by a hairdresser that if you take your hair and pin it to the side (GENTLY) with a bobby pin or something when it's wet/damp, it helps to train the hair to go how you want to it. It's worked for me thus far.

Good luck!
