best natural shampoo? - March 13th 2009, 03:38 PM

What's the best mild, natural shampoo?

I'm using an organic one from Waitrose right now [in an attempt to 'treat' myself..] but my hair doesn't like it much... feels like it's still in my hair, even though I washed it all out. And it just feels.. dirty - despite washing it every morning.
Neither does my hair like Natural Essences [though it's fine with it's brand of hair colour!]

Any ideas?

I don't really use natural shampoo but why don't you google and see what products are out there? Sometimes there'll be reviews for them so you can see how good they are from that.

Thanks.
I've done a bit of searching, but not much luck so far. Will probably have to go for the expensive brands I've used before. I have used Simple, and like it, but for some reason my hair likes variety... [or maybe I just like rose and geranium scented hair better. :P]

Shampoo itself is not natural so you won't get an organic brand and any mass produced shampoo will not use natural methods (saponification is an interesting reaction btw)

I just use whatever is there, have you looked on google?

Well, ya know, stuff that's not got a heap of artificial additives, is based on plants and herbs and things like that. :P

I'll carry on Googling!

Baby shampoo. I've used it before, too.
