hair for school -
August 4th 2011, 06:36 PM
Hey, i am hunting something to do with my hair by school (15th) i am ether hunting a way to get it straighter, other then straightening it every day. or a whole nother look for it. i know i am trimming it soon, but if i get an idea i like i might have them do it.
big picture of what it looks like right now. Spoiler: it isn't usually this curly but it is always kind of curly / wavy. Hell, if you think it looks fine like it is tell me and i might just leave it like this

I think it looks alright to me. And if you say it isn't that curly usually then I can only imagine what it looks like. But if you want it to be straighter then I would suggest using a shampoo and conditioner to help with straightness or towel it somewhat dry and then use a blow dryer.

I do usually towel dry then blow dry and comb while blow drying and then comb after, which usually makes it come out fairly straight for most of the day unless its really humid or windy DX. I will probably keep it the same, i just wanted to see if anyone had any other kind of ideas. I'd like to straighten it but i don't want to have to do it every day because that would be horrible DX.

You could also use a holding / anti-humidity / anti-frizz spray on it to stay straight on those days. They usually keep hair pretty straight, and won't give you a gross hard hair that hair spray / gel etc do
You can't move mountains by whispering at them. Take a look at my art here: http://attemptedart.tumblr.com/ |

You say you dont want to straighten it everyday. But if you use a straightener you don't have to. You could go every other day. And if you need to shower every day just don't wet your hair, just get a hair cap.

That's true, i hadn't thought about that. Another way i was thinking of getting it cut is a little trim in the back, then kind of go at an angle cutting the closer to my face i don't really know how to describe it very well :/. <3 "I'll never let you fall, I'll stand up with you forever. i'll be there through it all" <3 |

I know what your talking about and to be honest, I don't know how good that would look on you. People that tend to look good with angular cuts like that have angular faces themselves and you have more of a round face.

Have you thought perhaps of dying it? That could be a nice change

I'm thinking that maybe a little shorter would suit you. and maybe get rid of the middle parting, by putting a fringe in?
It looks nice as it is though. I wouldn't dye it. I'm naturally blonde and I colour mine like a dark brown. My roots look awful after a while. Plus it cost quite a bit. As for straightening it, you wouldn't have to do it every day and the longer you straighten your hair the less curly it will become. It kind of trains itself over time. I hope this helps. |

Have you thought about looking at different pictures of long hair styles for guys. Like edgy ones. That way you can keep the length but have something different.

As the others have said; I think you should switch to a side parting.
Possibly get some layers put in. Definately think about going to a hairdresser.
