Was it "permanent" or "semipermanent"? Semi color takes 48 hours to set, so you can remove it if necessary. You have to use a clarifying or dandruff shampoo (sometimes multiple times) until all the color stops coming out. If it's been over 48 hours, this will generally fade after 6-8 weeks to your natural color.

Unfortunately, people with darker hair have trouble going lighter unless you bleach it (which should be done by a salon, otherwise it damages your hair severely most times). The roots and ends are most likely to turn orange due to this reason.

I suggest going to a salon, as they can fix your hair without damaging it too much, but if you can't afford it the other thing you can do is to get a slightly darker dye and dye your hair that color. Going darker is easy. Going lighter is much harder. You'll have to bleach your roots next time you want to go lighter. Bleaching doesn't have to be going white/blonde. Leave it a few seconds/minutes and wash it out then your hair should be a golden color. Add on the dye and it should settle to be the same as the rest of your hair.

So you have gray hair and you're only 26

that's just another reason I love you...

A quick fix would be to get some Color Oops, which helps take out the dye. Another fix would be to get a dye that is darker to help cover the colors.

Alright hopefully it helps get most of it out, my friend used to have rainbow hair and she got a lot of it out with that product.

I've never heard of Color Oops, so that's good to know it exists.
Hope it works for you!
