Two annoying hair issues. -
October 12th 2011, 07:37 AM
1.) So I'm constantly fighting the urge to wash my hair every day, because if I haven't washed it that day it automatically feels unclean, and it gets greasy so fast.
The thing is, it doesn't get greasy all over, but it gets greasy in two specific and noticeable places: along my hairline, and the little bits of hair at the side of my face, in front of my ears ~ the bits that are the most noticeable if I want to tie my hair up, which I usually do if I haven't washed it for a day, because it's so shit and shapeless. Sorry for the language, it's been frustrating me for 20 years. ![]() 2.) Another odd thing is that there's a section of my hair which is really really dry and haylike, I mean ridiculously so. It's only a small section and not that noticeable, but weirdly it's the bit of hair kind of at the back and under the rest of my hair, if that makes sense. The bit which grows from the bottom of my head/top of the back of my neck. This small section is horrrribly dry and like straw, but I'm not sure how?? Yes, it's the bit that I straighten first when I'm doing my hair, but that just means it's also the bit that gets the most heat protection spray, so I'm not sure why it's in such bad condition. ![]() Anyone have any advice for these two issues?? For the greasiness I highly recommend suave professionals dry shampoo. It is cheap and it works really well. You just shake it and spray it wherever your hair feels greasy and it soaks up all the grease and makes ur hair feel perfectly clean.
For the strand that is dry u can try using leave in conditioner on it or conditioning it more that the rest of your hair in the shower ~Samantha~

For oily hair, use a clarifying shampoo. A lot of brands make this type, just pick whatever brand you like the most and try it out. Pantene and Garnier Fructise have always worked very well for me. You can also get a dry shampoo which cuts out oil. One more thing you can try is putting some powder on your hair to soak up the oils.
For the hair thats really dry, trim off the ends and make sure to put enough conditioner on it in the shower. I would also try something like Garnier Fructise 3 Minute Miracle, I use it and it works very well. Maybe try not straightening it for awhile since its under your hair? ![]() Buddy|Live Help Operator|HelpLink Mentor|Social Networking Team Relationships&Dating Mod|Lifestyle Mod|Media&Entertainment Mod Performance Committee |
