Haircuts? -

So I'm returning to school after Winter Break (I have a concussion, I've been out the past 3 months), and I feel I *really* need a haircut.
However, I have noo idea how to get it cut. I want to keep my hair long (I'm still waiting for it to be as long as it was last May xD) but at least interesting! (I don't find myself attractive at all, so I guess my hair could make up for that  ) My hair is normally wavey/curly but has occasional weird days where it is nearly straight. I kinda want side bangs, but I'm not sure like, the style they should be. Here are a few pics (fairly recent) of me! Any suggestions are more than welcome.  I'm also thinking layers? Any thoughts at all? xD And I'm trying to decide if I should dye it (professionally, of course. After the purple/red disaster in May I'm not doing it myself!) really dark brown. My roots are that colour, and that's why my hair normally is. But it has really nice natural highlights that I'll miss.. So conflicted!

I think a dark brown color would suit you well
I think some thin, side swept bangs that are layered until they are the length of the rest of your hair would look nice (if that makes sense, if not I can try to explain it better  ) You look really cute with long hair, so I'd stick to that. I wouldn't go for thick fringe either, or lots of sidebangs. I think keeping your part towards the middle suits you best

I think you should do some face-framing layers and a thin side bang.

I know its not really side swept bangs but I think the bangs that Zooey has here would look really great for your face, possibly even the color as well. I think your skin tone would look great with dark hair.
As far as the rest of your hair, I would tell them to take about four or five inches off. To right below your arm pit and tell them to put some layers in it. Always remember to put your happiness first.
