D: my hair -
December 14th 2011, 12:45 AM
My hair is just about two inches below my shoulders. It's cut in about three layers and its SOOOOOOO thick. It's full of static electricity and its pretty frizzy. I don't know what to do with it though, no matter how i cut it it looks bad. If it's short it sticks out a few inches really thick... When its longer its just a mess. What can i do with my hair? I've tried curling it but i have a lot of hair and even when i manage to make it look nice it comes undone. By straightening it the baby hairs still stick out. I've had teasing and other forms of being picked on because of my hair and i don't know what to do with it
Any ideas would be nice

Okay, so this is probably due to dryness.
But first, you can get your hair thinned out at a hairdressers, and it does make a pretty big difference sometimes. It can make it a lot more manageable. Okay so I would get a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to help keep your hair weighed down a bit and keep it glossy. If you blow dry your hair, try and let it air dry now because that can help as well. When your hair is wet, use a wide tooth comb and get out the tangles, and then don't touch your hair until it is completely dry. Using a leave-in conditioner can help as well, most hair product brands make one. ![]() Buddy|Live Help Operator|HelpLink Mentor|Social Networking Team Relationships&Dating Mod|Lifestyle Mod|Media&Entertainment Mod Performance Committee |

Get a smoothing shampoo and conditioner. Paul Mitchell has a great smoothing line. Also get some super skinny serum also by pm. You can get these products at any salon. And you really should get your hair thinned out, having more layers can also help with thickness.

I agree with what's been said. You could get it thinned out at the hair dressers, and it makes it sooooo much more manageable. And using things like hair masks to deeply condition your hair work really well too, you might find it's more manageable then too, and find ways to style it which you're comfortable with.
Things, no matter how bad, will always get better. So smile, 'cause this is life, and life is what you make it.

Since the OP's question has been answered, I'm going to go ahead and close this thread!
OP, good luck with figuring out your hair (I hate the static electricity myself! ) If you'd like the thread reopened, feel free to PM me, or begin a new thread for all your Fashion & Style advice
