Buz cut? - January 6th 2012, 05:25 AM

Right now my hair is pretty messed up from being bleached, dyed blue (kick ass hairstyle!), bleached again, and then dyed a dark brown color. As a result, the texture and health of my hair is not too great. So I'm really in the mood to shave my hair extremely short. Like, if you've seen the frabreeze commercial with the two girls in the nasty food truck...like that short.

I have a pretty effeminine face and I've shaved my head before and loved it. There might just be a slight issue though. I'm trying to get a job as a server and don't know it that short of hair on a girl would be ok. I just can't really do anything with my hair the way it is now and I don't like it at all. Advice please.

Well if you do decide to shave your head, you could always get a wig. I've actually seen people with human hair wigs and you can't even tell that they are wearing one. I seriously though my friend had dyed and cut her hair for weeks until she took off her wig. You can imagine my surprise to that
Another option would be to cut a few inches off, then let it grow and cut some more off until finally healthy hair has fully grown out.
You should also invest in some motorization treatments for your hair, those really do work wonders. My favorite is Garnier's 3 Minute Miracle. I dye my hair a lot and have bleached it a few times and that stuff makes my hair feel so soft after using it.

You could always tell the managers at the restaurant you're working for that you shaved your head for "Locks of Love", the organization that takes human hair to make wigs for cancer patients. Or, for someone you know who has lost their hair due to cancer.

Shaving your head is entirely up to you, and you could always get a human hair wig as well to wear on your shifts at work. I highly doubt shaving your head would keep you from getting a job as it's personally your business, your hair and your body.
