Greasy hair - need products for sensitive skin? - February 21st 2012, 10:06 PM

Hey guys,

I've been noticing my hair gets greasy really fast. I have to watch what products I use because my skin is SO sensitive, I get rashes really fast from things. I've been using Organix shampoo and conditioner since it's sulfate and paraben free, and while it leaves my hair soft and really shiny, it gets greasy quickly as well.

What are some shampoos and conditioners that leave your hair good looking but can take care of the grease problem? I need something that doesn't have a lot of harsh chemicals, preferably sulfate and paraben free. I've used things like Pantene and Head and Shoulders before but it doesn't go well with my sensitive skin.

Look for products specifically for oily hair, and try to wash your hair everyday if you don't already.

I use suave daily clarifying for my oily hair, it was the only shampoo I could find at walmart since I'm sensitive to scents. It's supposedly hypo-allergenic, I don't know if that is gentle enough for you. It's probably going to take you trying different things until you find what works for you.

From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think itís more than you can take
But you're stronger, stronger than you know
Donít you give up now

You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining

Clarifying shampoos are your best bet. I would stick with an organic brand, Burt's Bees makes good quality shampoos.
However they do make dry shampoos which come in either mousse or spray form and help to absorb oil in your hair. I would use that if your hair is getting greasy even in the coarse of just one day.

And here you are living, despite it all.
