Oh no! - March 7th 2012, 06:10 PM

So I noticed that my hair started changing color. Weird I know.
But I didn't think of it.
Well now my hair looks like its been sunbleached.

however.
We don't get much sun in Oregon.
and they only time i'm outside is to go to my car to go to work.

I dont know what to do..

Hey Courtney.

Is the hair changing at the roots or is older hair changing first, or what? It could be 100% natural, it could be a medical problem, or it could be the products you are using in your hair? Only thing I can suggest is to see a doc to make sure your hairs (and you) are happy and healthy.

Take care,
Alex

If you've dyed your hair in the past, it's most likely the dye washing out. Hair dye isn't permanent (even though the box says so). Once your hair is dyed the first time, it'll have to be maintained every 4-6 weeks in order to keep the roots and your natural hair color from coming in.

Hmm. Well, apart from everyone else has already said... it could be your water. I know that my aunt had this problem once, turned her hair the exact same colour. It had something to do with their water was too hard/had too much iron in it.

Have you switched what products your using on your hair recently? If not, then it could be the water. Dark hair getting lighter doesn't happen unless there's something strong getting on it to strip the color.

And here you are living, despite it all.
