Could I get away with it?

I really want a new hair style. A while ago, I went and had it cut short and it looked really nice and since then, I've had my usual hair dresser cut it and she isn't very good, she's very basic and I feel it always looks boring and just stupid sometimes. I really want a new style and this will mean going out and spending money at a proper hair dressers but although I do have a few ideas, I don't want to go and spend money on making myself look even more stupid, so my question is, would I get away with cutting it shorter, ideally getting rid of my fringe and just having it short but also being able to style it, sort of like this.. (probably not the best pictures but it's hard to find ones that show you want I mean and sorry for the links)..

I've asked a few people, those people being my mum and girlfriend but it's be nice to get a few more opinions. If you have any other suggestions for what to do, feel free because I'm open to anything right now, I just want something new that I can work with!

I personally think it would look pretty good. You current hair doesn't seem that much longer than what would be ideal length for the first picture and yeah I think it would look cool.

I think the second picture would probably suit you better. Your hair seems pretty short right now though, so you could always go buy some hair paste and spike it up like in the first picture and just see how you like it.
The second picture would require less maintenance however, and I think would be a safer choice.

I think the second picture would suit you better. Although, if you got it cut into that style, you could definitely experiment with different looks by using hair products.
I think you would look gorgeous with the second style and you can definitely do more with it. Like Nicole said, it's a lot safer. And if you decide you don't like it, you can go shorter next time without having the hassle of growing your hair out, like you would with the first photo.
Definitely post a photo if you do decide to get it cut!

Just agreeing with everyone else really but I think the second style would suit your face shape better :P It's definitely worth the extra money if you can find a good hairdresser too =)

As everyone else has said, the second style will probably suit you better. It just seems to fit better with your face shape and it will be easier to maintain.
