My mom won't let me get one! I have been asking for the past year and I just went upstairs and asked her again. She said "next time you ask it will be a no until you move out of my house!!"
I went up and asked her again cause there is this girl at my school that looks like a barbie doll! she is perfect! no joke! HUGE boobs, long, blonde hair, Marilyn Monroe beauty mark, anything you can imagine. And what did she do over our snow days off school? GET HER BELLY BUTTON PIERCED!

I totally know how you feel. I begged my mom for a nose piercing for years, probably since I was about 13 or 14.
You should probably stop asking for a while. Show her how super mature you are and help out around the house and just really try to get on her good side and then try asking again.
I know from experience that th workse "so-an-so got her ________ pierced" argument hardly ever actually works.

Not to be rude, but asking over and over when you know the answer is going to be no, isn't really helping to tip the scales in your favor. I know what it's like to really, really want a piercing and have your folks not cooperate, but the best thing you can do is be patient and reasonable. Explain your reasons for wanting the piercing to your mom, and maybe you can compromise on an age where she feels comfortable with letting you get one. Save up the money for the piercing yourself, so she won't have to pay for it.

With the description you gave of that girl, she doesn't sound that great to me, but hey, that's me. Where you live, are you even legally allowed to get your belly button pierced at your age?

Personally I don't think young girls should be getting their belly button pierced, and it's for the same reason I don't like tongue piercings. It turns girls into a sex target, and in my opinion, 14 year-olds should not be looked at as "sexy".

Hey Anna,

I know that it is frustrating that your mom won't let you get your belly piercing. However, asking her repeatedly doesn't look like it is going to work. You should try a different approach. I made a deal with my mom and that is how I got mine. If all else fails, you can wait until you are 18 to get it pierced.

If you want a piercing just because some blonde bitch at your school has one, then I don't think you should be getting one at all. Piercings are supposed to be empowering. You're you. Not her. Don't try to be someone else because you'll just make a fool outta yourself. If you really want one that badly, offer to work your ass off for it.

You have to be 18 here to get your belly button pierced :/ 16 with parental permission.
I had mine done and the guy said that he finds that the 16 year olds had longer healing periods than like 18-25 year olds. Like they had like closer to 9 months, rather than 3 months. I'd wait simply for that. The quicker it heals the quicker you can get prettier bars etc

It must be frustrating and annoying that your not allowed what you want. But theres point arguing about it and bugging your mum when she already said no and isn't likely to change her mind anytime soon. You could try talking to her and working out a compromise like it could be a birthday present or you could pay for it yourself or maybe when your a certain age eg- 16. Though this may not work. If it dosen't then you'll just have to wait till you are old enough to get it done yourself without parental permission I'm afraid.

First of all, that girl sounds more fake then "perfect".

Secondly, if she says no then the answer is obviously no. As annoying as it is, pestering your mum until she says yes is only going to make her say no all the more. As much as you want the piercing, you should just wait until your old enough to get it without your parents consent.

This is a good point. A good piercer will not pierce anyone under 16 years old, especially not without parental permission. Some piercings, like cartilage, can get done younger, but you still need a parent there.
