Belly button newly pierced ... rejecting?

I had my belly pierced on saturday for my birthday. It went fine, but it took the guy a while because he couldn't get enough skin in the clamp to start. It's a really clean place and he took forever cleaning everything before, had piercings there before blahblah.
I've been cleaning it etc as directed and it was fine until this morning. The holes are really red and sore and swollen. I've tried cleaning it but it hasn't cleared up. The bar also feels further foward than it did before under the skin.
I might be being silly, but is it likely to be rejecting? Or infected? Or is it just meant to be that? I'm moving out of the country in 2 weeks so I wanna clear up anything before I go / go back to the place if I need to.

I don't think it's rejecting, mainly because I don't think that's very common. It's probably infected like most piercings get. If it's an infection, it's not going to clear up by you cleaning it once. Just keep cleaning it like you were told to, as often as you were told to do.
