First time for everything. -
May 29th 2011, 03:24 AM
So, I went to go and get a tongue piercing at this tattoo place that used to have a piercing employee. i went and asked them. Their site hadn't been changed and I thought that they would have that person still working. Well, turns out they quit a few weeks ago. I found out that a small tattoo would be fifty. I decided to go ahead and get one since I was there.
The person was super nice and it was a very neat place. The needle looked sterile and the artist was very clean herself, except for the many tattoos. I felt safe, which isn't a normal thing for me. I didn't really get nervous or anything. She just kept hitting the nerve that was in my ankle, considering that is where I had it done. It is a small paw print. The during factor was more like a tickle than anything. It was a pretty exciting. Now, after. It hurts. I'm wondering if anyone has tips for making it hurt less. ![]() --.redpanda.-- |

It's a fresh tattoo, it's bound to hurt. I'm heavily tattooed and nothing really takes the pain completely away. Try ibuprofen or advil. It's the only thing I've tried that makes a dent in it and it helps with swelling. When I got my whole arm below my elbow done it took away the swelling and took the edge off pain wise for the next few days.

Yeah. I've already taken advil. 3 caps already. It is safe I promise. It still hurts a bit, but it is fine for now.
Another thing, mine is red around it. I've never gotten a tattoo, so I don't know if that is normal. Is it? ![]() --.redpanda.-- |

Hey, I'm going to move this to the tattoos section of the site since I think you'll get more answers there
![]() I've never had a tattoo myself so I'm not sure if you're allowed to do this but have you tried an ice pack? ![]() |

It's bound to be red, you've just had it tattoo but eventually the redness will fade, the pain will go and it'll be completely fine
