My design - October 16th 2011, 04:35 PM

Ok unfortunatley i'm not artistic with a pencil and paper like some other folk on here but im pretty artistic when it comes to computers so i decided to make my tattoo on photoshop.

This would be going on my lower back with the stars going up to my neck.
What do you think?

I like it, it's cute. It looks similar to a tattoo one of my coworkers had.

I'm going to give you my one hundred percent honest opinion, but before I do I want to say this: If you are absolutely in love with every aspect of it, don't take our opinions into account. You're the one that has to live with it on your body for the rest of your life.

That said, while I like the concept, I would really change the stars up. My personal aesthetic values tend to lean towards more original work and that specific type of five pointed star is everywhere. I have the same kind of feeling about the horse. What I would probably do in your case is take this idea to an artist you like and see what they can contribute to it to make it beautiful and original and perfect for you. i.e. taking this idea that you want this text running across your lower back, with a running horse above it, and stars leading up from that in an asymmetrical pattern, and just turning it into something a little less clip arty.

Hope that isn't too critical... like I said, ultimately it is up to you. I actually chose not to tell people what I was getting (except in very rough terms) before it was on my body because I felt like that was the only way I'd be sure that I was getting what I wanted and what I believed I would like forever.

Good luck, and enjoy the experience!

I actually really appreciate that and no you weren't too critical, i do agree that it is very clip arty, i am going to take it to the artist because they are the true artists and see what they suggest, the five pointed star is everywhere but call me unoriginal, i still like it haha but thank you very much for your input, it's advice like that i appreciate!

@Melody, yes i horseride haha, im getting this to cover up a horrible tattoo i got when i was 15 and thought i was awesome! So im covering it up with something i love and agree with
