Since November, I've been helping put together a 24 hour cancer relay in my area. When I started, I thought I was just going to be putting up posters and helping advertise. But, one thing led to another and by January, I was the right-hand to the chairperson. Putting this thing together has been an insane journey. It's been so stressful, but so fulfilling. At the end of the day, it's been one of the best experiences of my life so far.
And now it's over! It went so well and I'm so thankful for that. Everyone had a blast and we raised a lot of money for the American Cancer Society. I'm exhausted and beyond relieved that it's over, but I wouldn't trade any of this for the world. Now, it's time for me to take a 7 month break...and then it all starts up again.
wanderlust consumed her;
foreign hearts & exotic minds compelled her.
she had a gypsy soul
and a vibrant heart for the unknown.
Aah, that's awesome! You were really great with helping out with that. We have the Relay For Life over here. I haven't done it since I left middle school, though. =( Maybe next year if I can't this year.
