So I'm going to be a Drama/Performing Arts student in September (: -

I'm finishing up my current degree this summer and am not planning to apply for further Psychology courses until 2013...so I thought in order to fill up the coming academic year I'd apply for a performing arts course in a college near me.
And I got a place!!  In fact they told me that because I have some acting experience they'd even like to put me straight into second year (which I'm still thinking about, any input is welcome!! :P ) I'm happy. I lovelovelove acting and theatre and feel like I should have some kind of qualification in it, even if it's not university-level one (although I could continue through this if I want to, I'll see what happens!!) AND it'll stop me being lonely this year and give me something to do.Yayy (: Don't take life too seriously; no one gets out alive anyway. Aw, yay. That's awesome to hear, I'd give you some input but I'm clueless when it comes to this stuff so I won't do that but I'm sure it'll be awesome whatever you do!

That's so cool.
My advice - go ahead and let them place you in 2nd year. While I don't know the structure of the course, the 1st level might be closer to things for beginners. Since you have some experience, a more challenging course might be more suited for you.

I agree, I'd take a chance and go for 2nd year
It may be more difficult, but if they think that you can handle it then I would trust them. I'm sure you'll have a great experience
