Becoming more comfortable with people - January 1st 2010, 05:53 AM

I've always had this social problem where I get really uncomfortable talking to people, especially strangers. Sometimes I would even avoid talking to my own friends because I felt awkward and stupid. But lately--I don't know, I just stopped caring as much what people think! If people don't like me for who I am and how I speak and behave, then that's their problem, not mine. And if I do have an annoying tendency or something, they should be decent enough to tell me so I can work on it. I'm just so happy that I'm finally starting to see that. I think I'm going to keep getting better at this, and maybe I'll be ready to start making new friends again within the next year or two, even with the shy and quiet type. And maybe, just maybe *gasp* I'll be able to talk on the phone without freezing up. LOL, I'm just so happy about this. Happy New Year, everyone.

Hey Se-Se,
I'm glad things are starting to change for you. Looking at things in a different perspective can really help you overcome things. You may have to push yourself out of your comfort zone sometimes, but i'm sure it'll be worth it. Hope 2010 is a good year for you. Take care. :]

Your post made me smile, Se-Se. You definitely have a good perspective on things. You can overcome the shyness and being quiet. I know how you feel with that. Keep pushing forward, yeah? You can do this. Keep smiling.

That is a good attitude to have. If people have a problem with you then that is their problem Glad you are happy, you deserve it. Keeping up with the positiveness
