It went awesome - September 19th 2011, 11:49 PM

Alright, so some of you know that i had a concert planned last Saturday for a
cancer benefit, and wanted me to update you on how it went so here it is.

Alright so i thought it would turn out bad, because 3 days before it one of the bands cancelled because one of the members would be out of town at a wedding. then one of the other bands helped me find a replacement, the first band apologized and told me they owe me.then the day of the concert at 8 in the morning, another band cancelled because the guitarist got into a wreck the night before they tried to help me find a replacement but it just isn't really possible with less then 12 hours to go. my parents were also in a bad mood that day, so i was just convinced it would turn out horrible.

alright, so 6:45 rolls around (concert started at 7) one of the three bands is here, and theres like 2 people. i'm thinking damn this sucks. then at about 6:50 the 2 other bands roll up with about 20 people behind them, i'm thinking hell ya here we go. the concert started out awesome, everyone is having fun and everything. then there are people trying to sneak in without paying and we have to put an end to that not so fun.

next the second band comes on, i didn't know what to expect from these guys i had never heard them before and they were doing a cover set. i was actually really impressed they had some mess ups but they joked around about them and had a really positive attitude so it was fun.

then the third band and the one everyone has been waiting for rolls on, Poisonwood i defiantly think you guys should check them out if yo like melodic death metal. these guys are just amazing they have amazing attitudes, and they play some amazing music. they played for about an hour and a half and it was some awesome fun with my friends and my cousin. moshing head banging all the good stuff. then they thanked me for putting the whole show together .

then the show is over, i buy a cd poster and bracelet from poisonwood and they sign the cd and poster for me and its awesome! then i walk outside after cleaning up and the lead singer for poisonwood called me a legend, and told me that next time they were gonna give me some tabs and have me come up there and play bass for a song with them. This just was an amazing ego stroke for someone like me with shitty cofidence and just made that whole night aweosme. then i get home and plug my phone in and charge it and i have a text from another one of my older friends calling me an inspiration and legend for the music scene here, yet again another amazing ego stroke and just brightened me up really.

so amazing night, the bands were awesome, we had a really good turnout, i made a few awesome friends, i got my ego stroked a few times xD, we made $143.50 for pancreatic cancer awareness. so all this made me extremely happy, (not quite as much as talking to a certain someone though ) i am really glad that this concert turned out so much better then i thought it would ! i have some video if you guys would like me to post it.
