One week! The last time I cut myself was Saturday, November 26th. I have managed NOT to cut myself for a full week. This is progress!

Congratulations!!!! That is a huge start (: I remember when I cut I tried to hide it. Then one day my sister (who I lived with) wanted me to go swimming. I kept a jacket on all day (even though it was like 100 degrees outside) and she picked up on it and when we got home she asked me to take off my jacket. She told me the next time she seen it she was going to take me somewhere to get help. So I started cutting my thighs. After a while (and on my own account) I realized that I did not want to inflict pain on myself. I was trying to figure out how to let go of a hard past. I realized that I would never be able to let it go, at least not to this day it still bothers me from time to time, but I know it is in my past and cannot harm me now. You should really be proud of yourself. I can tell you what helped me to stop: I threw away any and all sharp objects I could use. I did not keep any "just n case." And I kept myself busy drawing or writing or talking to friends on the phone or listening to music. If I never had the time to do it, I wouldn't. Keep up the good work.

Congrats on making it to a week! Its not an easy task, but the fact you did it should be enough motivation to keep going. So keep it up, you can do it
