They don't know I'm on TH. They knew that I was posting on a forum for a while but I refused to tell them which and then they assumed I stopped going on it. My guidance counselor and school psychologist know, though, and some friends.

They know that I'm a user on TH, but since I found out that they know about TH I changed my username and everything about my profile just in case. My mom told me that she likes TH, but wants to know the stuff that I post so I just delete the history of TH. I'm sure they think I'm an inactive user by now. xD

I've been around since I was fourteen, but my parents have never known. If they had asked, I wouldn't lie about it. However, it's not something I would have brought up on my own. :]

I've told my parents, but I don't really let them in on what I post, I've also told friends and even recommended them to the site, but I don't ask their username or anything, and I don't give them mine, that's actually why I recently changed my avatar pic to not me, but yeah.

My parents know I go on a forums site, plus they've glanced at my laptop when I've had it open & I really don't care enough to minimize it. They've never asked & I don't really care to bring it up, but I don't really care anymore if they know. My parents don't pry, so I highly doubt they would ever bother to look up my profile or my posts or anything.

My parents do know. They didn't for a long time at first, I kept it hidden really well. Eventually though, they figured it out and at that point it obviously was pointless hiding it, so I was just open about what the site was. They've never really seemed to mind except for a handful of instances when they thought I was spending too much time on the site.

No, my parents have never known - although I was 18 when I first came here so what I did on my computer was my business, and my Mum recognises it's generally safer for her to not know what I'm up to.

I don't think so. When I had to use the family computer downstairs she may have glanced at the computer screen whilst I was on TH, but never asked about it. Now I have a laptop upstairs so she can't know what I get up to.
Though it is hard when I meet people from here. I never know how to say that I know them. Luckily, she doesn't get too nosy.    |

It really surprised me how many people's parents actually know about TH.

Well, my mum knows I spend alot of time in a forum for helping teens/kids but she doesn't know what site I am on and my dad knows nothing...so I just picked not sure

Mine know. They don't know why, they just think I'm here helping - which is half true. As far as I'm concerned they don't need to know the rest. My friends know that I'm here too and thye know aboutt he same as my parents.

I'm not sure.
I've had the page open a couple of times when they were in the room and I did get asked what it was but I closed the window really quickly. I usually close it if someone comes in. TH is not something I want my family knowing about... |

No. If they did know, they wouldn't care either. My parents don't usually mind what sites I go on, what books I read, what movies I watch, etc. They think I'm mature enough to decide what I expose myself to. In other words, they're cool about this sort of thing.

TH was a huge part of my life when I was on staff so my mom and siblings knew about it. My mom even referred one of her troubled patients here (she is a doctor). I never gave them my username though. Some things I do want kept private :P

I spend too much time on here, so I had to tell them what I was doing They are fine with it but just get worried that it might interfere with my therapy.
