Is there a difference between checking/admiring beauty and ogling/objectifying?

I know that objectifying people is wrong but I am aware of how guys and girls tend to notice attractive people. Is there a difference between just admiring looks and ogling/being a perv/creepy?

I definitely think there is a difference between admiring looks and being a perv.

As far as objectifying goes, based on this I don't think that you believe that women are only good for their looks or anything like that. The important thing to do, which I think you are doing, is recognizing that the woman isn't just there for your viewing pleasure. Obviously you can check people out and notice their attractiveness, but I wouldn't stare for too long or that's where it would get really creepy.

With admiring looks, you are appreciating their appearance, but I'm sure you recognize that there's more to them than their appearance. It's even okay to have sexual thoughts. It does happen. It's just what you do with them that matters (ie obviously you wouldn't want to make some creepy comment).

So I'd basically say it's okay to look, just don't do something like have an obvious stare or anything. Make sure any comments you make don't come off creepy and rude, and remember that there's more to the woman than her looks.
