Regarding Self-Expression - February 6th 2017, 05:49 PM

Is the "Self-Expression" forum strictly for vent material, or can it just be to share art in general? Wanted to ask before I posted anything.

It can be used for art in general. It doesn't have to be just venting.

It can be used to share art work, photographs, poems, just writing. Pretty much it is used for self-expression anyway you do that it's fine. I use it for my poems, art, and to ask questions about my writing, or art. Or any question related to self-expression.

I hope this answered your question.

People have written short stories and posted them there, shown artwork they've done, or just sent photographs in before. It isn't just for poems and venting, although that is the most common thing done.

A lot of people tend to take their anger, frustration, and sadness out in a form of writing, usually poems. However, I do know a lot of people who take out their emotions by drawing. I would love to see some of your work in the Self-Expression forum! I really do hope you post some!

The Self-Expression forum can be used for any type of creative writing and artwork. I've seen people write all sorts of poetry, short stories, drawings, paintings, photography, crafts etc. Many people put their feelings into their writing/artwork.

It was very nice of you to ask first! But nope it's not strictly to vent, it's any self-expression material in general. I hope to see your posts in the forum!

Hey there,

As the other posters have said, Self Expression is for sharing your work, regardless of its intent or purpose. You can post pieces that are serious or silly, written or visual, emotional or abstract - it's whatever you feel like sharing! The only caveat is that it should be your work, not someone else's, because plagiarism is against our Code of Conduct. Other than that (and making sure it follows all the rules in our Code), you're welcome to post whatever takes your fancy.

Since there's only really one answer to this question and any further replies will be repetitive without adding any new information, I'm going to close this thread. Feel free to PM me if you want it reopened, or if you have any questions at any point.

Take care,

'cause she's slain the gods before.
