How to watch the real estate market? - June 8th 2009, 12:07 AM

My Dad said today that if the value on land in our area goes up a good amount, then we can maybe move to a much larger (and awesome-er) city next year, which means I MIGHT HAVE A CHANCE OF GETTING OUT OF THIS SH*T HOLE!!!!! So, I'm set on that, completely, and the really really good part is that this land may very well go up in value for a couple reasons.

Anyway, where would I look to find out the worth of a general area?

This site has a bunch of real estate properties for sale. Perhaps you could search for a house in your city to get a rough idea of how much your house is worth.
