Being a vegetarian... - June 17th 2009, 12:06 PM

Im a vegetarian for a long long time, and only for the last years i've been more comfortable with it and with myself, because i thought i was weird because i didn't eat meat and fish.
I still don't tell people that im vegetarian, because that would generate a lot of questions, others might not understand or make fun of that. I only told two people, and because i had no way out, it made me a bit more comfortable with them, but i don't like to tell. So, this made turn down a invitations for dinners and all that.

So, the main question, if you are a vegetarian, has that made you turn down or avoid invitations for eating out, eating at a friends place or at a party where meat will be served?

I've been a vegetarian for 3 years and I don't turn down invitations for eating out. I just eat the sides or bring my own meal entree and eat the sides they have.

I do that to, and in some restaurants that is actually something that i can normally eat, but there are others that don't. But i do that when im with my family, but with friends, going to restaurants that the only thing in the menu is meat or fish, i find it a bit more difficult...
