Can Anyone Identify Crystals? - October 27th 2009, 08:24 PM

Well I found some old crystals I used to have but I have no idea what a lot of them are. I've tried looking in books but a lot of the time they don't have pictures of tumbled crystals which are what most of mine are.

Can anyone look at the pictures below and help me work out what each one is?

An orange/red one

A light green

Creamy white

A dark brown

White, brown, orangey and a little purple bit which looks like amethyst

Blue with dark blue leopard print spots

Reddy brown with a black and white part.

Yellow and grey

semi translucent blue stone

Black (kinda looks like haematite) with a reddy brown part

Hm I don't recognise any of these...
The light green one might be Jade?

No clue myself, but here are some chart things online:

You could probably ask some of your science teachers at school as well, good luck!

i have a book on crystals and i'm going to try to help hopefully it works sorry if i fail horribly but it's all a guess

A light green--aventurine

White, brown, orangey and a little purple bit which looks like amethyst--Very well that could be a ruby

Blue with dark blue leopard print spots--That most definately is a lapis lazuli at least what the book says it looks like. It's blue with gold flecks

Black (kinda looks like haematite) with a reddy brown part--could be Jet,
