I thought Mother's Day was in May.
Maybe you can take your mom out for brunch, or make her a meal. Getting her a card is nice, maybe some flowers.
If you have some money, maybe you can go to some place like Bed, Bath, and Beyond. They normally have some really good stuff at all kidns of prices, so it would be easy to get her something there.

I'm going to go into a shop called Lush, it's a cosmetics store. They have mother's day themed gifts within a range of prices. Perfect for mother!

I get my mom flowers and I make her breakfast - I think she prefers that over gifts.

Re: Mothersday - March 10th 2010, 07:04 PM

I go with chocolates or jewellery.
My dad gets the flowers, brother gets the card and I get the other bit.
If she asks for something specific, then I go with that.
But you can't go wrong with flowers and breakfast in bed.

Well, here Mother's day is until May but I'm probably getting her 2dozen of roses her favorite, and we will probably go out to have dinner like all the years with the family

Re: Mothersday - March 12th 2010, 01:07 AM

sooo.. on amazons front page they had these digital photo frames and i was like ' AH HA!' so i bought one of them for my mum.. 'cept i don't think it will arrive til monday or tuesday. oh wells. she can wait. haha. but she's been complaining for a while that she never gets to look at all our photos.. so hopefully she likes it. and at the same time i went and ordered a nice bouquet of flowers from our local florists. flowers are bloody expensive though. my mum best appreciate my efforts.

I tend to go with a card, a pair of earrings that match her style, her favorite flowers and brunch.

if i've ever learned anything, it's to be loved.
funny how accepting and allowing that can be so hard,
when loving someone else can be so easy.
the thing is, we accept exactly what we think we deserve,
no matter what that may be.
so i'm thinking it's time to change our mindsets;
if we haven't yet figured out that we deserve the best,
then it's certainly time.
think about it ;]

I've bought my mum two dresses and some flowers - not much as it's her birthday very soon and I've got her something special for then. I like the idea of going out for lunch or making your mum something special. Honestly, it is the thought that counts!

I got my mum a ring which says mum on it and a card.

If it's short notice though just go for baking something like Amy suggested or you can burn her a CD of songs she likes?

I got mine a card because I didn't actually see her today. I'm going to see her on Wednesday though so I'll probably take her out for lunch. I think it's nicer to do something personal and put effort in rather than just buying a present.

I even heard your mamma wanted some of this...
