Do you believe in it? I don't.

Don't judge others, if you can't judge yourself.

I don't want to live To waste another day Underneath the shadow of mistakes I made Cause I feel like I'm breaking inside I don't want to fall and say I lost it all Cause baby there's a part of me to hit the wall Leaving pieces of me behind And I feel like I'm breaking inside

I fully believe in it based on experiences I've had and things that have happened to me haha.

When all your friends have come and gone,
And the sun no longer shines,
And the happiness for which you long is washed away like an ocean's tide,
When all the hard times outweigh the good,
And all your words are misunderstood,
When the day seems lost from the start
You must follow your heart,
You must follow your heart.

Re: Karma. - April 3rd 2011, 07:42 PM

This is a very debatable topic. I can't say I do believe in it, but similarly, I can't say I don't. I can say that if you're nice to people, there's a higher chance of nice treatment in return, and that if you're obnoxious to people, then obviously, people aren't going to be too nice back, but that's not karma I don't think, that's a matter of people and their personality and tollerance of behaviour. I'm leabing towards the argument that karma does not exist, as if it did, why would the poor children in Africa be suffering daily? They would have to be really and truely horrible people to have to suffer the intensity of suffering they do if karma did exist.

And then of course, there's the fact that a lot of pretty nasty people seem to have good lives. For example, being a teen it is no surprise I'm using this as an example, but still, these teenagers who are popular, dress in short skirts and flashy tops, and are all round bullies, are often the people that have the most friends. Unfortunatly, its the nicer people who try their best to be nice, that have to suffer the torment from those people.

I believe that you get out of life what you put into it. If you're kind in life, you'll be treated with more respect than otherwise. I don't think it's a matter of karma, I think it's a matter of how people treat you in terms of how you treat them.

Would you let me see beneath your beautiful
Would you let me see beneath your perfect
Take it off now girl, take it off now girl
I wanna see inside.

Yes, i believe in karma. Its the main reason i almost never say mean things about people, and if i say mean things, there might be a good change that its a lie.
Anyways, im very bad at debating, so i'm probably not gonna debat, because im going to lose for sure ;P

Just wanted to point out that there's an almost identical thread here.

Nothing in the world is
the way it ought to be.
It's harsh, and cruel.

But that's why there's us - champions.
Doesn't matter where we come from,
what we've done or suffered,
or even if we make a difference.

We live as though the
world is as it should be,
to show it what it can be.

Yes, I do believe in it. I believe what goes around comes around. People do bad things and if they continue to do bad things, it'll eventually come back on them and backfire.
And I also believe I already made a post on this in the religion section. :P

I do not believe in karma. It's a nice thought, but it doesn't apply to everyone; therefore I don't believe in it. (starving children, children born with AIDS, etc.)

I did for awhile, but it's sort of one sided. I agree with Kitty. What about the good people that have misfortune? And vice versa. :/
