the end of the world? -
April 11th 2011, 04:40 PM
I know some people who believe that the world is going to end in 2012. My mother is one of them. I am pregnant right now and I am preeety young still but my mom wants me to have my baby because she thinks If I don't have one now she will never get to be a grandma. She also recently heard a rumor that they originally got the date wrong and that the world will end this year instead. Another thing she is freaked out about is the tsunami in japan she believes it is a sign. I know that all of this stuff is probably not true because nobody can ever know for sure when the world will end. So I shouldn't be too worried. But then I have been learning in school about global warming and all this other bad stuff and I have been starting to think maybe the world will end soon maybe we don't know the date but maybe we only have a short time left. What if my baby is born and then doesn't even get the chance to live. What if the world doesn't end but we get a tsunami or an earthquake here?? I am starting to get really paranoid about it. I try not to think about it too much but I just can't help myself. I am having nightmares about this
does anyone have any advice? I am sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot.

I've worried about this myself, but at the end of the day, one day we will all die anyway, whether it be the end of the world, or just our deaths because they are impossible to stop. I don't think it's worth the nightmares to be honest though, no-one can predict the end of the world, and the 2012 one, as far as I know, was never stated ot be the end of the world. It's the end of the myan calendar, but it was never (to my knowledge) said to be the end of the world.
The disasters the world is facing are big though. I can understand your worry, and I thought I was the only one who thought this. They seem to be getting more frequent, and yes, it's scary. I think though, that if the world's going to end, it;s going to end. The tsunamis and natural disasters my have nothing to do with it, and if they do, it's nature, not us. Something that we have no control over shouldn't be your worry, so live your life and have the baby. Take care, and feel free to PM me at any time. ![]() Would you let me see beneath your beautiful Would you let me see beneath your perfect Take it off now girl, take it off now girl I wanna see inside. ღ |

Well, look at it like this:
Just because earthquakes recently happened and a tsunami has occurred isn't an indication that the world will end. Tsunamis and earthquakes have existed even before mankind. Some people predicted the world would end in Y2K, but that didn't happen. When it comes to predicting when the Earth will end, people have had wrong predictions. Scientists may have predictions later on in life that can be measured (such as the hole in the ozone layer and stuff like that), but other than that...we have no idea. If we were sure about the world ending in 2012, don't you think the government would make a big deal out of it? If we only got another year to live, I wonder why people still have jobs. What point is it to have an income when we're going to die anyways? So just look at it like that; if the world was ending in 2012, don't you think more people would be concerned? |

I don't believe that 2012 is true or that people will know when the world is going to end. I was just worried about all of the natural disasters happening lately and maybe they aren't completely natural anymore and we are whats making everything worse. And i am just hoping the end wont come anytime to soon or that these natural disasters wont keep happening this badly
. So many people have been dying its very sad .

I was freaked out and so were some of my friends but I have one who is very into astonomy and managed to find out that it won't end on this werid website which she says is trustworthy. It is very unlikely the world will end, there are predictions it will end for nearly everyday. We will get about 2 weeks notice if it really will happen but scientists are not sure and there is much debate. The tsunami was cause by the tectonic plates moving which is natural and has been happening for many years, if it didn't it would be weird because it would prove there is something wrong with how the Earth works. The best thing to do is to live your life to the full and try not to think about, you'll regret it!

I don’t believe in 2012 and all the drama behind that. I do think that we have much worse problems on our hands pollution and war being two big ones. If I remember correctly the world was suppose to end the year 2000, supposedly someone really smart predicted that too.
