I think it is eighteen you are an adult at that point, but then again you can't drink or gamble until you are twenty-one, however I am fairly certain it is eighteen.

You don't have to be 21. If you are 18, that is considered adult. Why don't you call the hotel and ask them yourself.

It depends on the hotel, actually.

Just call the hotel and ask

In certain states you have to be 21. My sister almost got stuck in another state because she was driving from FL to CT, luckily her boyfriend was over 21. Some states say 18 is okay though.

"'Colie, you should never be surprised when people treat you with respect. You should expect it.'
I shook my head. 'You don't know--' I began. But, as usual, she didn't let me finish.
'Yes,' she said simply, 'I do know. I've watched you, Colie. You walk around like a dog waiting to be kicked. And when someone does, you pout and cry like you didn't deserve it.'
'No one deserves to be kicked,' I said.
'I disagree,' she said flatly. 'You do if you don't think you're worth any better...'"

When we tried to check into a hotel or book one in new orleans for a few nights they told my boyfriend he had to be 21 and he is 19 we actually had to get his brother in law to do it for us and they said you have to be 21 all over... I know your an adult but I think its more of a money and damage thing and illegal activity and also someone mentioned something about alcohol being in the room.. I am not sure but we where told we had to be 21 also by a hotel manager and that applied almost every where in the US there might be some places where it is okay

I think your best bet is to contact the hotel beforehand and ask them how old you need to be, that way if you need to be over 18 or 21, you can ask someone to do it for you in advance rather then having all the hassle on the day.

I'd contact the hotel first, and ask them whether you have to be 18 or 21 to get a room. Some places require you to be 21 because they serve alcohol, and fewer have casinos.

I've heard that it has to be 21, but some will take 18 too.

I'm 18 and i've never had a problem staying at a hotel on my own but it's best to call them and ask.

Some hotels you need to be 21, others you don't. It will say on their websites.

And I will take you in my arms, and hold you right where you belong.
