How long does a staff application take to process? - June 23rd 2011, 04:31 PM

I applied to be an Associate LiveHelp Operator a few days ago, and still have heard nothing back. Why is this, or how long does it normally take?

I'm impatient haha, sorry

It could take anywhere from 1 week to even as long as a month.
It all depends on how busy those who look over apps are.

Haha, I was actually wondering the same thing because I sent in an application for being a Buddy over a week ago and I keep thinking, "Maybe it didn't go through..."
So yeah, like Lynds said, it could take a little bit.

As the others have said, it depends - partly on which position you're applying for, partly how many other people have applied at the same time, and partly how busy the people who select it are. I've had to wait anywhere from a day to a month for my applications to be processed. You will hear back eventually though.

Blumemusik,

Applications take time to process. Rest assured we have received your application. It can take anywhere from several weeks to a month if not longer. It’s unlikely you’ll get a response within a few days. In time a PC (Project Coordinator) will message you regarding the outcome of your application.

Amanda,

I just want to clear up any confusion you might have. We have received your application and it is being reviewed. Unfortunately I can’t say when you’ll hear back these things take time.

If you have any other questions feel free to message me.

Alright, thank you very much Ryan. =)
I understand that it could take some time since this is a busy time for everyone.

It does vary, one of my applications took around 2 weeks for a response and another one only took one day.
I hope you get the position that you applied for

Like everyone else above me stated, it varies. When I applied for buddy, it only took a couple days to hear back. However, when I applied for forum moderator, I waited a few weeks for a reply.
It depends on what position you apply for. Things may be busy, however. There may be a lot of other applications that have been sent in so there are a lot to go through. Just be patient, you'll get a response eventually.
Good luck!!

Since the question has now been sufficiently answered I'm going to close this thread. See what Chess wrote: http://www.teenhelp.org/forums/p670322-post6/. Average response for primary applications (HelpLINK Mentor, Live Help Operator and Buddy) is currently about two weeks, though this can vary greatly throughout the year. If you have any other questions about our Staff selection process please feel free to direct them towards a Project Coordinator or a member of the Talent Committee.
