Ignored. - July 20th 2011, 10:16 PM

I am 19 but I have an extremely deep voice and when I try to talk to people in conversation when there is another person address them as well, I get drowned out and they dont even acknowledge me. I just dont really talk when Im with people any more because of it. Its even been to a point where people have forgotten I was with them on an occasion because I was so quiet. I was the person driving them!! I regularly get told to repeat myself. What should I do. I just feel like people dont care at all..

If people drown you out and ask you to repeat, then speak up louder. When I'm having a conversation with someone and a friend interrupts, too bad, I speak louder. If it's a stranger who wants something or if it's a friend who has to say something very important (i.e. another friend went to the hospital or the math test was changed to Monday instead of Wednesday), then it's a different story. When you're driving the car, your attention should be on driving and if they're too loud or you're asking for directions but they drown you out, you're in charge.

In sum, don't get pissed on, pull your pants up and speak up.

I can rip you off, and steal all your cash, suckerpunch you in the face, stand back and laugh. Leave you stranded as fast as a heart-attack.
