How to edit Avatar? - July 31st 2011, 11:59 PM

Now I admit Im not the best when it comes to technology, so Im hoping that someone here is better than I am so can help me out!

Im trying to change my Avatar (the picture thingy I thnk it's called an avatar) so I went to http://www.teenhelp.org/profile.php?do=editavatar

I inserted the website link of http://www.google.com/imgres?q=nature&um=1&hl=en&biw=1366&bih=638&tbs=is z:ex,iszw:150,iszh:150&tbm=isch&tbnid=5u340MjTY020 oM:&imgrefurl=http://www.acelebritywallpapers.com/nature-beautiful-background-wallpapers.html&docid=TnJUyZ628nd3eM&w=150&h=150&e i=yuk1TvOdDYil8QPT3NCgDg&zoom=1 Under avatar option one and it came up with "
Invalid File"
W
hy is that? and how do I solve it.

If that immage is not availible to use then is it possible with this one? http://www.google.com/imgres?q=tropical+waterfalls&um=1&hl=en&sa=X&biw=1 366&bih=638&tbs=isz:ex,iszw:150,iszh:150&tbm=isch& tbnid=zay8-cuKKcSSGM:&imgrefurl=http://www.fineartphotoblog.com/author/dziser&docid=Mqs7W1h2f8gvTM&w=150&h=150&ei=nuk1TpT BGIa98gOBwq2hDg&zoom=1

Thank's Dipka

Hey there,

What I do is save the image to my documents and then just upload it, it's simpler

I hope this helped

Yeah, like Cara said.

Right-click the image and click "save image as...", then choose where you want to save it.

Then return to the avatar page, and click Upload. Find where you saved the image, and choose that one

PS - can you read this font okay?

You cannot use the entire URL because they both go straight to the Google home page. When you look at each URL, it says "imgrefurl=". The part after that is the original URL for the webpage you searched for. Unfortunately, the second one is broken and the first is a set of pictures, so you have to choose which picture you want. Some of the pictures in the first link are usable, others are too big. For example, the Katrina Kaif picture is usable but the bird one isn't.

I can rip you off, and steal all your cash, suckerpunch you in the face, stand back and laugh. Leave you stranded as fast as a heart-attack.

As said, it's better if you pick the image you want, save it to your documents (right click > save image as..) and then upload it that way because as said, you're trying to upload it from Google rather than from the actual site where the image is uploaded which is why it says invalid file.

Seeing as this has been answered now, I'm going to close it. If you have any other problems, PM me and I'll happily help or reopen this thread for you. xx
