Re: Should I be worried about a library card? -

Hey there!
It was really nice of your mom to let your friend sign up for a library card under her name. I remember how excited I was when I first got my library card (I know that makes me sound like a geek. I have no shame. )Anyways, I highly doubt you need to worry about repercussions of your mom being down on your old friend's card. Most smaller libraries let fees slide without getting paid, with very few exceptions. Plus, your friend could be taking a lot of responsibility and returning books on time, etc. If nothing else, if you were ever contacted about and fees on your friend's card, you could probably let them know the situation and they'd work with you on that. Bottom line, having library fees isn't going to make or break you, so I'd try not to worry about it so much. I'm sure your friend really appreciates that your mom did that for them ![]() Take care! ![]() Great works are performed not by strength, but by perseverance. PM me anytime <3 |

Can't your mom just cancel the card under her name? She can say she lost it and ask to cancel or deactivate the account, after all, she DOES have the identification.
This is kind of like bank cards: when you lose yours, you just deactivate your account. Since this library card may not have a password, she should just cancel it and make a new one, I'm sure it can be done! Hope this helped! Carpe Diem: Seize the Day/Moment.

I don't think you have anything to worry about, when her card eventually expires, she can just update the system with her own information.

I would think that by now she would have updated her information. Almost every time I go to the library, they ask me for updated information.
