Havent cut in a month and five days. Still getting urges, but i think i can do it

That is great. I know what you mean. I have been Self harm free since October and I still get urges like you wouldn't believe it but you just have to distract yourself and tell yourself you don't have time to hurt yourself and you don't have the time and energy into hiding it. I recently had a huge urge because I came face to face with a pack of razors and I was like if I take them and use*them again I will have to hide it and worry about wearing pants and making sure no one sees it to know I started again and it felt like too much to deal with. And I was hardcore addicted to hurting myself. Always remember to put your happiness first.

It is completely normal to want to many times when your first trying to stop. I'm really glad you haven't cut in a month and a week. That is a great stepping stone and soon it should become easier.

Hey Sarah.
I think that's amazing! I know how annoying urges are, but as long as you keep fighting them, you're on the right track. Having a positive attitude, like you do, is also great. You can do this. Good luck! Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh, and cruel. But that's why there's us - champions. Doesn't matter where we come from, what we've done or suffered, or even if we make a difference. We live as though the world is as it should be, to show it what it can be. |
