Work Issues. - April 5th 2020, 10:38 AM

So continuing on from this post, http://www.teenhelp.org/forums/f31-why-me/t159955-bad-day-work/, I've been thinking more about it and the options I can take. Once COVID-19 is over, I'll start applying for more jobs. I'm planning on sending emails to potential employers in the next couple of days to see if they are looking for staff. I know it's silly considering the amount of business that are struggling and how many people are out of work at the moment, but I'm desperate. Emotionally, mentally and physically, I can't do it anymore, simply because of the management, other staff and the long hours in both positions.

Hi,

I'm so sorry about all of this and hope that you will be okay soon. Hopefully all of this will end soon and then you will be able to find something else that you will enjoy doing. I know that it is crazy right now with all of this going on. Try to stay calm if you can and find something to get you're mind off of this for a while so that you will be okay soon.

If you like to read, then grab a book and read for a while. Or drawing or painting or writing or calling a friend or putting on music or funny TV shows or movies or something else that you enjoy doing and do that for a while, until you are doing okay. I hope that you will be okay soon. Hugs

Thank you for your replies.

I think I'm just stressed out with everything that's been going on right now. Let's all hope it ends quickly.

A lot of people are stressed out with everything that's going on, worrying about losing their jobs or not working as much and not making the money they need to make to make ends meet. Perhaps you can find something else to do in the meantime to get your mind off job worries?

We're here if you need to reach out again. Take care.

Thanks for your reply.

I've been working on a few personal projects of mine to take my mind of things. I haven't necessarily lost my second job but more so the fact that I feel like now it's going to be emotionally more difficult for me to be working there due to me not having the relevant training.

Re: Work Issues. - April 7th 2020, 02:41 PM

Some of the shops where I live do 1-month temporary contracts to help provide a little bit of extra employment for locals. Just wondering, do you know if any supermarkets or corner shops near you do the same?

I know it's not really an amazing solution given that it's temporary, but the extra funds can help ease financial concerns a little.

I've applied for supermarkets but I've been rejected every time. It's so frustrating...I don't even know what they want anymore. I have customer service experience.
