Self Quarantine - March 21st 2020, 01:55 AM

Feeling low. Tomorrow starts our self quarantine. I'm not looking forward to it. We will have plenty to do at home, but I'm gonna miss hanging out with my sister everyday, and even my friends every week. Of course we have no idea how long this will last, or how things are going to look a couple of days or even weeks from now. I'm starting to get feelings of panic and paranoia. I'm also worried about my up coming therapy appointments. I'm wondering if I'll still be able to attend them or if we will have to have them over the phone. I just know I'm nervous about it. I know we could be in a worse situation than we are, but it sucks that we are going to be stuck at home. I'm just glad it's for a good reason. We obviously don't wanna get sick, or spread anything to anyone else, and I know this is helping not just us, but others, but it's still scary to have to do this and to not really know what's going to happen, for things to be so uncertain. I just hope we get some good news and concrete answers soon.

Hi Lunar,

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling low at the moment due to being self quarantined.

It can become quite stressful when you need to attend appointments but cannot do so. Hopefully time passes quickly for you and it doesn't become too lonely for you. If you need anything, feel free to message me.

Sorry to hear you are self-quarantining, even though you know it's for the best. It's such an upheaval and it makes sense that you will miss spending time with your sister and friends. Maybe you can think of creative ways to keep in touch? I also hope that you can still have therapy. It can help to keep busy and try to keep things going as normal, even if it means adjusting to using technology instead.

Hello,

I am so sorry that you are not feeling well and hope that you start to feel better soon. When we are not feeling well and we have to be away from everyone, it is hard to be okay and calm about this. Try to find different things to help you to feel okay and to get you're mind off of this if you can. Try putting on music or funny TV shows or movies or reading a book for a while or drawing or painting or writing or calling someone and talk to them for a while. Or do something that you enjoy doing and hopefully it will help you. With you're therapist, maybe you can talk on the phone or Skype. I hope that you will be okay soon. Hugs to help.
