so, i just checked my grades.. and theyre bad okay, maybe not for most people, but for me, yeah. they are. like, super bad. if my parents were to acctually check up on them, theyd kill me. maybe not literally, but id be grounded for awhile and one of the grades is in first aid, WHICH IM NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE IN TO BEGIN WITH. but no. the stupid flipperin councler wouldnt let me change it! even though what im being taught is against what i beleive!
and the doctors STILL havent told my friend if shes okay or not they havent told her ANYTHING. they havent told her if she needs any more tests, anything! and im really worried

and to think highschool might have acctually been starting to be okayish..

Im sorry your grades are bad! Maybe start talking to your teachers and try to get extra credit and turn in past assignments! Thats what I do!

My school has the same policy, it's so frustrating! The best advice i can give is to talk to your teachers. Before you turn in a paper, conference with them, go in for extra help before tests--this shows them that you really care about your grades and that you're willing to go the extra mile to do well in school. i know it doesn't seem like it will help, but trust me, you will see an improvement on your essay, project, and even test grades wherever partial credit and subjective grading is involved and they'll be more lenient about handing stuff in late.

and i'm sorry you're going through all of this but hang in there, life's like the stock market (i know it's a weird analogy, but whatever), it's got to go up and down a lot-- just because it takes a little dip back down again doesn't mean it won't keep heading up in the end. well, a smidgens better than nothing! (i know, i know, it's really not that much, though :P) but you've still got the whole year ahead of you to bring up your grades, and if you work hard at it, i know you can, and you'll definitely see a bigger difference by the end

and i cant switch out. i tried to as soon as i was informed i had the class, and they wouldnt let me, plus its 2-5 weeks into the term, so im stuck

In my opinion, the situation with this first aid class is a blatant violation on your rights as a student, considering that 1) you weren't supposed to be in the class in the first place, 2) the curriculum is against your beliefs, 3) the teacher is uncooperative, and 4) that they are willfully refusing to correct the situation. In my opinion you should tell your parents about this, and they need to escalate this to the principal or district superintendent. Your parents should have the judgement to know that what is going on with this should not be held against you for any reason whatsoever, and that if this school is doing something to you which could have a potentially major negative consequence on your future, they are going to fight to make sure this is set right.

my parents think its a good idea for me to be in this class though. they think im a 'good little christian girl' like my best friend is. (dont getme wring, i dont mind that shes christian or anything, i just cant tell my parents tht im not. they flipped out when they found out my sisters atheist. theyd shoot me if they knew what i beleived )
so they dont care that i hate this class. and my teacher is a dumbass who doesnt beleive me when i said that he never checked our bone quizzes, so my grades a whole friggen letter lower then it could be and its too late in the term now to chance out nomatter what. i hate HHS

i'm sorry, your situation really sucks
but look--even if it's 5 weeks into the term, it took 5 weeks for your grades to get to where they are. you have the same amount of time (at the very least) to try to bring them back up. don't focus on every little assignment and how points each one is and how it could have affected your grade if you'd done this differently or if your teacher wasn't an asshole--it's only going to stress you out. just try your best to do as well as possible for the rest of this term, and it'll help balance out your current grade by the end.

and you can always go talk to the principal yourself, if you're comfortable with that, and explain how you believe that your teacher is being unfair and that you really do not want to be in the class and explain your situation. i know it seems scary, but i've done it before for a reallllllyyyy bad teacher who just insulted kids instead of taught, and the administration really listened to what i had to say, and our teacher wound up getting fired and we got a much better teacher instead. bring some friends of yours if you want, that's what i did--it makes your story more credible and gives you some support!
