Alright, in my Intro to Theater class we're doing a HUGE project and my ex best friend is in my group (We didn't get to choose groups. >.>) Basically we have to convey an emotion through technical elements and acting.
Well today was the day we were supposed to present. I've been working really hard on my monologue and everyone else has been working hard too. Anywho, she goes home sick and hey, that's okay crap happens. The thing is, she told my best friend now (Who's also in our group) that she planned on going home and that she would email the teacher of the class the music tomorrow. You know, it's not like we would need it on the presentation day. So basically, she did what she always does and screwed us all over.
Lucky for her, my teacher pushed the presentations to tomorrow. She probably won't bother to show up though and we need two non-electronic sounds. At least we found people to replace her.

I understand that this week has been stressful (Week before finals AND musical auditions), trust me, I stayed up until 11:00 last night doing homework and I barely even slept on Sunday and Monday night, I don't want to do it either but I am NOT going to let my group down. Sheesh, that music BETTER be in the teachers email tomorrow, otherwise some crazy stuff is going down.

I would definitely be upset. This is why, in a group setting, I help as much as I can. Some people just don't get it.

I HATE when people do stuff like that, although admittedly I'm also guilty of this to a degree. I would never go that far just to mess things up for anyone though. I would be pissed, try talking to the teacher and see what if anything can be done. Also make sure as it seems you have, to cover your bases in case she doesn't show up

This kind of thing irritates me as well. My partner for a brochure assignment due in about six hours did not send me her part of the information as she promised she would (repeatedly), hence why I am still awake doing it.

Exactly, I hate working in groups because of this. It would be so much easier to just work by myself for projects and be done with it, but no, we need groups all the time! (This one is understandable though. Obviously I couldn't do lighting cues, a slide show, sound and a spotlight when I have to act. xD)

That sucks!! The happened to me once last year. I stayed up until midnight getting a project done because my partner was lazy and didn't do anything.



She ended up showing up with the music. But it wasn't what we had all asked for and her non-electronic sounds sucked. Whatever. I did my part in it and so did most of the other people. At least we were one of the few groups to actually make the audience feel the emotion and had the best lighting according to my teacher. I'm still nervous about the grade though.
