OUCH!!!!!!!!! -

The implant in my head, for my special hearing aid (not a cochlear implant, it's a screw), is all covered by blood and I think skin! Yus, skin, it's supposed to be hollow surrounding it, where the bone got pushed in, but it's all swollen and red.
 Hurts so bad, I want to cry!!!! I may need surgery to get it removed. :/ |

Hey there,
Yikes, that sounds painful.  I hope the doctors are able to give you other options on how to fix it. I'd say just take it easy for a bit and hopefully the pain won't last for too long. Take care. :]

The swelling has gone down a bit, but it's still really painful. I can't put my hearing aid on without being in pain. I have an appointment tomorrow at 1pm.

 The area around the screw is infected, so the doctor placed me on antibiotics. Have to take it twice a day for ten days. Ew. If it doesn't improve, he's going to have to take the button (where the hearing aid snaps on) out. |
