Is anyone else getting a bit annoyed at Facebook?

I just feel like its everywhere. Literally.

I'm exploring the internet, and half the time you get some facebook option somewhere on the sites. Now, I actually log off before I browse the internet because I feel like FB constantly watching me

It's not just that, but everything else too. The constant status updates (I don't care what you're doing -- actually, why on earth are you my friend? We met ONCE ffs.), the gossip, stalking blah blah. It's everywhere and its getting annoying.

FB was cool at first, but now its becoming a bit much. Am I alone in feeling this way?

No. you're absolutely same as me. I find it on the adverts and all that and the words my head reads are 'Find us on Facebook and Twitter' ... jeez so annoying lol

I'm actually somewhat amused by it, because my exact address is listed on Facebook, yet it continuously gives me ads for events and places in Houston, Texas (about 1,200 miles away from where I live).

Facebook has both positives and negatives in my opinion. It's great for keeping in touch with friends and family especially if they live far away or you don't get to see them much.

However there are negatives, I for one have experienced some of the negative 'side effects' of Facebook. I lost a friend because of Facebook she was becoming so annoying and arrogant on it. Theres a lot more to it than just that but long story short, the things she kept saying started grating on me I never said anything to this friend because i thought i shouldn't get annoyed over it, but I stopped commenting in her Facebook status' etc. We didn't see each other for a while and now were not even on speaking terms. It's really stupid but I learnt a lot from the experience and it wasn't just over Facebook, there was more to it than that. However Facebook played a part in adding fire to the flames.

Now I just use it for keeping in contact with people as opposed to telling everyone every little thing that is going on. I was made to look like the bad guy in my case. But now Facebook has a lot less relevance in my life and feel more mature when it comes to using social networking websites.

I find that it's somewhat good because of keeping in touch with relatives and/or long distance friends...

But the negative heavily outweighs it in my opinion. Constantly seeing the most mundane and inconsequential thoughts of people you barely interacted with; the barrage of advertisements and games, the frequency of stupid account-controlling applications, etc...the only time I ever use it is if I need to know what homework assignments I have to do, or if I need to ask a question of a friend with whom I have no other contact. That's about it. :P

I do love facebook, i go on it everyday and stuff, but i hate how addictive it is! I used to be on it allllll the time, im not now but even so!

Yeah i think it is getting kinda annoying too. I mean it dose help u keep in contact with ppl, but it has gotten a bit much

I love facebook! I have found it is a really good thing for me. I love that I am able to talk to so many people and keep in touch with them, kinda like this site.
