I never read anymore! -
September 25th 2011, 04:15 PM
Since school started I haven't read anything for fun. I was reading this novel for fun before school started and I haven't looked at it since then. I was also reading Emma but I haven't made any progress on that either. I'm supposed to read a novel for school and write a report on it, and I don't feel any motivation to do it. Kind of funny, because I read the first chapter of the book voluntarily.
Does anyone else not read anymore? |

This has happened to me! But I've kind of lost motivation to do anything. :P
But yeah, I used to read loads and now it's taken me like two/three months and I'm still only half way through my library book. And I'm supposed to be reading things for school and I haven't even started. I think it's because I go to bed earlier and I used to read before bed. xD |

I think it's the other way around for me, because I usually read in school. In classes near the end we have time where we get done working with whatever we're working on, or something like that and I will read then. I actually got books read pretty fast that way.

I'm the complete opposite
Then again, I read while I do everything. I read while I'm brushing my teeth, while I'm brushing/blow drying my hair, at the bus stop, on the bus, during class, after class....
"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim: I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it." |

I read a lot. I process books really quickly (two to five days for any novel) and if I had my way, I could probably bankrupt my family with new books. I actually have started watching TV shows I download off iTunes lately to stop me from reading so much, because apparently it strains my eyes if I read for too many hours in a row.

That started happening to me too! I used to be the biggest book worm ever and now I feel like reading is such a burden. But I actually read this book called Dash and Lily's Book of Dares and I fell in love with it! In a way it actually made me want to start reading again. So if you get a really good book, even if it takes you a month to read it, it might motivate you to read again!
You never know how much you're going to miss someone until they're gone...
